You will notice that if they contribute a few to every game (43M RS3, 65M OSRS), that adds up to 108M, but the actual revenue throughout 2019 was 110.8M. Maybe part or all that unaccounted for 2.8M is unredeemed bonds.
You are not adding other income, merchandise at 2.6m and advertising revenue at 225k. Add them into the RS3 & OSRS gold numbers and it makes sense.
As well as this branchout, the two years had 3 DXP events but 2019 had just one extended over a 10 day period. It is quite interesting that the huge boom in OSRS inhabitants did little to stop the decrease of MTX revenue; I'm inclined to think that 2019 was way, way worse for RS3's MTX compared to stats (and the document) state .
OSRS is obviously doing gangbusters. No real surprise there, the game has been doing amazingly well and everyone understands it.
I would recommend getting cautious, however; I recall a few months ago there were rumors the bigwigs were starting to look to Buy Rs gold since the future due to the financials, and this sort of information would really encourage that talk.
Remember that Matt K and Ash had to go to bat to make them understand that trying to MTX the game would be a terrible idea even BEFORE OSRS was half as good as it's now. Positive attention is not always excellent.I believe with the amount of new devs they've hired this season, as well as MikeD stating that they still want to double the size of their dev team, I would say that the management has indeed realized that OSRS is their most powerful product currently.
